Cambridge B2 Academy

Every Part of B2 First, One Exam at a Time

TCKR Labs - FZCO School packages: No

Cambridge B2 Academy prepares you for B2 First (FCE) one part at a time. It has 1,444 exams across Use of English, Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking, an explanation for every question and AI correction for your essays, and the first exam of every part is free in the browser.

For FCE candidates who want to fix their Use of English and practise writing with feedback, it is a strong option.

What Cambridge B2 Academy does

B2 First is often where learners find that good English and a good exam score are two different things. The task types are specific, the timing is tight, and Use of English rewards people who know the format. Cambridge B2 Academy, from TCKR Labs, is designed around that. It lays out 1,444 exams in the same order as the real FCE papers, so each session practises a task you will actually face.

A large Use of English section

Use of English is the biggest section, with 367 exams across Multiple Choice, Open Cloze, Word Formation and Keyword Transformation, the four parts where B2 candidates most often gain or lose marks. Keyword Transformation in particular improves quickly with repetition, and an explanation after every attempt makes each mistake easy to understand.

The rest of the exam

Reading has 221 exams with Long Text, Missing Paragraphs and Multiple Matching. Listening has 235 exams covering Different Situations, Gapped Text, Matching and Multiple Choice, on real audio that can be paused, slowed down and rewound ten seconds, with a full transcript. Writing has 300 tasks across Essay, Report, Review, Letter and Article, and Speaking has 321 exams for General Questions, Images, Bubbles Discussion and Final Discussion, each with its questions, pictures and timings.

Writing feedback on demand

Writing tends to be the least practised paper because there is rarely anyone around to mark it. Here you write with a live word counter, ask for a correction and get a score, detailed feedback, suggestions and a list of grammar and spelling mistakes. It is a study aid rather than an official mark, but it shows clearly which habits are costing marks.

Mock exams whenever you want

The Exam Simulator runs a full Reading & Use of English, Listening or Writing paper with a clock and no help until the end. Afterwards you see every part with its score, the explanations and your time compared with the real 1 h 15 min for Reading & Use of English. The Exam Generator adds new exams on topics you choose.
