Full overview of Cambridge Academy
What Cambridge Academy is
Cambridge Academy, made by TCKR Labs, is a platform of four separate exam apps, one per Cambridge level. Rather than putting every level into a single crowded tool, each academy has its own exams, its own progress and its own colour: Cambridge B1 Academy for B1 Preliminary (PET), Cambridge B2 Academy for B2 First (FCE), Cambridge C1 Academy for C1 Advanced (CAE) and Cambridge C2 Academy for C2 Proficiency (CPE). Once you choose your exam, everything on screen is about that exam.
How big the exam bank is
The four academies hold 5,141 practice exams between them, and each exam is a full part of the real paper. That breaks down into 1,209 Use of English exams, 991 Reading exams, 654 Listening exams, 1,080 Writing tasks and 1,207 Speaking exams. Task types range from Open Cloze and Keyword Transformation to Cross Matching, Missing Paragraphs, proposals and Long Turn speaking, depending on the level. Each exam gets a score out of 10, where 6 or more is a pass, and every answer is explained.
Tools shared by every level
All four academies use the same set of tools. Listening runs on real audio with speed control, ten-second skips and a full transcript, and the explanations jump to the exact point in the recording where each answer is heard. Writing has a live word counter and an AI correction that gives a score, feedback, suggestions and a list of grammar and spelling mistakes. Speaking has a recorder, and the recordings never leave your device. The Exam Simulator runs a full paper against the clock with no answers until you finish, and the Exam Generator creates a new exam on a topic you choose.
Help while you study
Each part has exam tips, each Writing task has a model answer, and a dictionary and private notes are available inside every exam. The progress page shows how ready you are, your weekly scores and the parts that need more work. Lingo, a game of short English challenges across 80 stages, covers the days when there is only time for ten minutes.
Free and PRO
No card is needed and there is no trial that runs out. Without an account, the first exam of every part, the tips and the first four Lingo challenges are open. A free account, made with a Google or Apple sign-in, adds a second exam in every part, one simulated exam, two AI credits and two dictionary look-ups. PRO is sold per level, weekly, monthly or yearly, and opens every exam in that level, unlimited simulations, AI credits at each renewal, stronger AI models for Writing and Speaking, and all 80 Lingo stages.
